When I use the FNB app, how will I know if I’ve won the lottery?
FNB will contact you within two business days following the draw if you are the winner. The reward details are sent to you through SMS. The SMS will include a reference number, the day on which your winnings will be paid, and a phone number to call if you have any questions.
Winnings of less than R50 000 will be deposited into your account by FNB bank. Lottery prizes in excess of R50,000 must be claimed directly at Ithuba.
How do I get my FNB lottery winnings?
Call the FNB Contact Center at the number listed in the SMS and submit your account and reference numbers to the consultant. The consultant will advise on the status of your payout based on the information you supply. In 3 to 5 business days, your prizes will be credited to your account.
How can I claim prizes from Ithuba if I win over R50 000 on the mobile app?
The SMS will also include the reference number, draw date, winning amount, and Ithuba contact number, as well as for instructions on which documents to bring to the Ithuba headquarters.
What if the FNB SMS notification was not received?
SMS messages may not be sent at times owing to a variety of factors. Simply provide your account and ID number to the FNB service centre, and a person will help you.
When will the winner be notified by text message?
Only FNB bank winners will get a winning SMS 24 hours following the draw.
Why buying physical tickets is riskier than playing the lottery on the FNB mobile app.
You don’t have to worry about losing your physical ticket when you play Lotto and/or Powerball through the FNB mobile banking app. When you play your favourite lottery games on your smartphone, you may not only play at any time and from any location, but you will also be notified of your winnings without ever having to visit a physical lottery kiosk with your tickets.
Simply buy a single draw ticket or several weekly draws from a single app purchase and wait for your winning SMS.
